Not much new since our last reunion, other than the inevitable growing older of my girls (and me!) and all of the change that comes with it. My older daughter will graduate from college this year with a degree in psychology & a deep interest in early childhood education. My younger daughter is a freshman in high school with a passion for cooking and her sights set on becoming a chef in NYC some day (she is about to start her second apprenticeship with a pastry chef in a highly regarded restaurant near our home).
My career in banking continues to progress, albeit at a different bank than in 2003. Still doing lots of winery & vineyard financing, but no longer exclusively so, as I've become a private banker with a more generalized practice. I love my work & my clients & feel incredibly fortunate to have found what for me is the perfect job. No thoughts of retirement here!
Probably the biggest change in my life is that I have discovered the joys of exercise & have transformed myself (happily) into a gym rat. I work out 4-5 times a week, have taken up cycling (a 20-mile bike ride each weekend is typical), and have never been in better shape. I guess that's my way of staving off the realities of getting old.
Most likely won't make it to the reunion, but I hope everyone has a wonderful time & I will look forward to reading all about it on the website.
