Michael Clark Schwink died on Sunday, June 14, 2009 at
Easton Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He
was 23.
Born on August 27, 1985 in Easton, MD to Glenn Leroy and
Patricia Lynn Schwink, Michael was a 2003 graduate of Kent
Island High School. He was a certified EMT and firefighter.
On April 4, 2009 he married one of his best friends, Melissa
Lynn McNicol, making his life complete. He enjoyed his
custom trucks, the “Big Green Meanie” and the “Red Rocket.”
He was a diehard Philadelphia Eagles fan and was a very
active roller blader, ditch surfer, and enjoyed making
people laugh.
Michael is survived by his best friend and wife, Melissa
Schwink of Grasonville, MD; parents, Patricia Lynn and Glenn
Leroy Schwink of Stevensville, MD; best friend and brother,
Christopher Michael Schwink and his wife Laura of
Grasonville, MD; maternal grandparents, Rena and Garrett
German of Ocean City, MD; paternal grandfather, Eugene
Michael Schwink of Rehoboth Beach, DE; mother-in-law, Pamela
Kaye McNicol of Stevensville, MD; father-in-law, Stuart
McNicol of Texas; sister-in-law, Heather McNicol of
Greenwood, DE; nieces Olivia and Jesse; and many aunts,
uncles, and cousins.
Family and friends may call on Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at
Fellows, Helfenbein and Newnam Funeral Home, 106 Shamrock
Road, Chester, MD from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm where a
funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at
11 am. Interment will follow at Stevensville Cemetery.
